Pacific Coast Canine Rescue is a foster-based rescue in Crescent City, CA. As we are foster-based, all our available dogs are placed in individual homes. We do not currently have a main intake facility.

If you see an animal you are interested in, your first step is to put in an application which can be found here on our website. Once a complete application is received, a member of the adoption team will reach out to schedule a phone interview. Assuming that goes well, we will ask for a few photos of the yard and main living area where the pet will reside, and contact your references and vet. Once that process is complete and approved we will schedule a meeting and you can welcome your new family member home!

Short answer, no. We require an application on file and approved before we schedule meetings. While we understand the want to meet an animal first and feel out if it’s going to be a good fit, our animals are all in individual homes and we can’t let just anyone in their homes. We also have to respect our fosters ’s time and only allow meetings for serious and approved adopters.
